Current anime season?
 

Anyone watch real anime, like anime that is not on adult swim?
Some of the toonami stuff was good, except for the big 3 and inyuasha.

Currently the anime I'm watching this season are Nurihyon no mago, asobi ni ikuyo, and Setokai yakuindom.
I tried watching HOTD but it seemed so cliche if you've watched any zombie movie.

So how bout you guys?

This season, I am watching:
Ookami-san, Amagami SS, Shukufuku, Mitsudomoe, SYD, HOTD, Occult, Shiki, Asobi.
Basara 2 and Legend^2 when they finish and batches get released.
Also K-On.

IIRC, HSOTD was made based off popular zombie franchises. It even has references of popular zombie movies in the anime itself. That's why it seems cliche'd and such. It's probably still the most popular anime... this entire year.

And, yes, I'm watching literally everything thats currently airing. Just a few ONA/OVA's i'm not bothering with. Dropped a few animes already. Only ones I haven't bothered with is Basara 2 (since I haven't finished 1) and CatShitOne.

Still waiting for the Moe Zombie Anime and a few others for Fall 2010 season.

CatShitOne is practically an OVA in itself. It's apparently a yearly release or something, according to my friend. It's rather amusing as a military-like anime, so I'd suggest putting aside 30 so minutes just to watch it, lol.

I'll pick it up later, never said I wouldn't watch it in the future. But maybe when more are released, I dislike waiting for 'short' (as in video length) anime that air over a long time.

Bakemonogatari 13~15 for example. :(

Movies and longer OVA's are fine...

Oh yeah, I completely forgot, Ookami-san and occult are the other two I am watching.

Yeah, I was watching Maid-sama but since the new season and starting to play latale I havent really been watching as much anime.

Yeah, I feel the same way, but I like to dip my feet in the water to see if I like it anyways. It's one reason I'm not watching Katanagatari at the moment.
Also the reason I didn't download Bakemonogatari when it "finished." Still waiting on BD/DVD batch. /rot

Coalgirls is trolling the Bakemonogatari releases lol We won't see BD 15 for a loooooooong time. Hopefully Koharubi will release it.

The only animes I'm watching this season are Strike Witches 2, Digimon Xros Wars, and Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's. Those are the only animes that interest me this season.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for North American releases of Turn A Gundam and Eden of the East. I'd purchase those the moment they go on sale here.

It is imo the best anime we've got this season judging from the initial 5 episodes.

Yes, because an anime named "legend of the legendary heroes" is on the top of my list to watch, or even attempt to watch.

And anyway I heard it was pretty much "Code Geass 2.0".
Not that there's nothing wrong with that but from what I've heard and seen the concept of his powers is almost exactly like code geass, which kind of bugs me.

Placed on "I'm waiting for a batch because I have better things to watch" status.
I had an argument with RoflKnife about this already, don't drag it on here. Action/comedy's cool and all, but I'm getting my seasonal dose with HOTD already. The rest of the season makes my nutbladder hurt, which is awesome.

Oh yeah you're right. Because the Alpha Stigma is the same thing as Geass. Because the ability to copy any magic spell that you see is the exact same thing as the ability to issue an order without question.

How about you watch it before you make assumptions.

Most shows don't make it on my list cause my otaku friend doesn't suggest it. I usually wait for seasons to end then batch the whole thing in bluray quality when they come out, proves they're good in a way at least.

So code geass + needless?
But anyway I already am watching enough anime this season as it is, so it's not like I need another one to add on to that.

What I watched: Legend of the Legendary Heroes
What I expected: over the top + comedy
What I got: holy shit this is actually really god damn good.

The similarities between Geass and Needless are so weak, that you can connect it to practically any anime.

I didn't really expect something so good to come out of a title like that either, so I gave watched it for the lulz. Then it punched me for thinking it wasn't going to be good.

Alright, I already downloaded the first episode, I guess I'll watch it later when I feel up to it.
