Macross F is set in around 2070A.D.. F denotes "Frontier"; "Frontier" stands for the migration fleet which is the setting of the story. The story is about the fleet's encounters with space monsters (or things to that effect) while on its course. It is planned to be a TV series with Kanno Youko handling music, Kikuchi Kouji as director and Kawamori Shouji as general director.
Macross? I seen a few episodes of Macross Plus on Sci-fi channel and my friend's dad built this big arcade machine and put a ton of ROMs in it. One of them was a game called Macross Plus. Very fun but friggin' tough. Especially when the screen is filled up with enemy ships that you can get blown up by running into and enemy fire. Then there're the boss fights. Dang they shoot a lot of rounds. The whole screen can get filled with it.
Ah, I came here just for this thread and to ask this question...
If I start watching this series now, will I be completely lost because I haven't watched the other 4 seasons of Macross? It looks really interesting, but I don't want to be more confused than a cat in a lightbulb shop if I start watching it.
