I watch Shadow's body of sexiness and listen to his horrendous unmatching voice.

Nope doesn't work for me in that case >___________>

I believe 4Kids voice actors for Pokemon suits the characters more than Pokemon USA's cast. Maybe because I grew up with the 4Kids version, but when I started with 4Kids's Pokemon, 4Kids wasn't even as bad as they are now @__@

Because Nintendo can make more money from the Pokemonz.

I prefer to consider 4Kids an exception in the dubbing industry. 4Kids is a company aimed at kids (hurf durf) and therefore, they will obviously cut and edit whatever they get so that the finished products are suitable for American children's television.

How the hell is a Rice Ball or a "KEEP OUT" sign or a down to top camera movement on Chris Thorndyke inappropriate for kids >_____>

That's just Al Khan being silly and thinking along the lines of "American kids don't read."

Although, I found watching Sonic X to just be a time-killer and nothing more, so I couldn't care less. Lol.

America usually dubs anime's pretty badly.
That goes for Japanese translated games as well.
I dunno, it only irks me when the japanese seiyuu
sounded realistic and emotional, and the dubbed version
sounds like his nose is stuffy and is overly happy and
excited. I do like Bleach's dub over the original voices
though.

I agree that yuyu hakusho is one of the best dubs I've ever heard.

I'd watch Dubs over Subs if the dubbing didn't have horrible voice acting, didn't have censors, and didn't cut out any parts of the original anime. Theres hardly any dubbed animes that meet those 3 conditions though >_>.

I watched the death coverup comparison video.......that was fail. Hardcore fail. The death didn't even have a speck of blood. Friggen wusses...might as well make the show for kids UNDER 8 years old.

the Best english dub I've ever seent hough would have to be G gundam (only good gundam series imo) you cannot tell me the main character did not have emotion in his voice.

which is why it was awesome.

Honest answer: the reason most fans rail on dubs and don't like them is because they have it in their minds somehow that they'll lose anime fan cred if they prefer dubs.

Seriously. This is why folks who argue for subs almost always start of with, "Well, I'm a purist, and ..." These folks usually don't know any Japanese beyond "baka" and "kawaii" but you better take them serious as Japanese language purists yessiree

*doesn't read all of the previous posts*

For me, it could be that it's because I live in an English-dominant speaking land and where if I hear something overly-dramatic or something, it seems really forced or 'cheesy' x.o;. Er, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm used to hearing English when it's... calmer? I don't know how to explain it. x.x; Dub versions in other languages... hm... are okay I guess. I watch stuff that's dubbed in Chinese sometimes and it sounds pretty good.

I don't know, I don't know~ I just like the sound of the Japanese language. 8D

Whats the point of listening to a foreign (as in not originally made in your native language) film/show/etc. dubbed and edited in your native language if you want to hear and feel the original emotion and feeling of the movie the way it was originally meant be felt?

Maybe a dubbed version is good for understanding, but I end up watching the subbed later for the same reason as the above statement.
