I agree, his selfishness and unwillingness to cooperate had needlessly jeferdised the survivel and victory for himself and the rest of the group way too much, even if its just a stupid card game.

While I can't think of a charater that trully hate, yet, I can say I do dislike the main male character in a lot of Harlem series that start out "pathetic" in the begining of the series. If they change enough later in the series, then they start to grow on me, but if they don't change and are still "pathetic" (I.E. Makoto from School Days) then I just try to only pay attention to the girls (which is the biggest reason that I watch these series in the first place).

Girly females that are dependant on the male lead and/or just irks me with their girly nature.

Examples:

Tohru Honda - Fruits Basket
Colette - Tales of Symphonia
Sophia Esteed - Star Ocean (the game)

Those random one episode "go against the main chars" characters that appear in the first series of Yu-Gi-Oh!. I especially hate that one woman teacher.

Kagome From InuYasha, Why? Cus she's allways getting pissed cus of Kikiyo and *****ing at Inu about it.

The Anouncer Guy from DBZ, Why? Cus he took 5 efn mins to recap and at the end he's all like WILL THEY WIN?! TUNE IN NEXT TIME. And you ALREADY KNOW THEY WOULD!!!
