shanks pirates changed allot ! but at least they are badass now(-shanks he got a toothache) ;D. i guess the time skip will be now.

the more i see shanks the more i want a side story with him.

i loved this arc but it was more of a rollercoaster it had its ups and downs but NOW ITS ALL OVER ! its time for the strawhats to gather again ! i miss the strawhat crews. i hope OP will always remain epic.

That was an awesome ending. I thought the whole war would never end. Especially considering how the marines all kept wanting to fight even more. The war set up too many fights that it never showed more of. I was disappointed with that, but overall, it was good.

Lol. The guy with an elbow blocking his face in the first pic never changed his hair.

I agree. They look more badass now.

One Piece is on a break next week.

I think next chapter will either be the time skip or show Luffy returned to Shabondy and recovering from his wounds. I think it might have us see him alive and recovering before it goes into the time skip.

well the thing is if Oda showed all battles this arc would be over 300 chapters long. so he kinda wrote himself in the corner when he could only show glimpse of them or maybe he just wanted to tease us. maybe the anime will show the battles instead.

NEXT AC FISHMAN ARC? i been waiting so long for it. i wanna see that and Elbaf !

Yeah. Jinbei is with him isn't he? I can't imagine them not doing a Fishman arc before the time skip considering Jinbei is with Luffy right now. I think it'd be great if he joined the Straw Hats, but I imagine he'll want to stay at Fishman Island and protect it since Whitebeard's protection is now gone. I remember he said that Fishman Island was full of evil pirates causing chaos before Whitebeard came along so...

they could always do fishmen arc after the time skip cause i dont think Luffy doing so well currently. he lost more then 20 years of his life, heavy burn damages, mentally damaged etc. it should even take Luffy time to recover. i wouldnt be surprised if Luffy been sleeping for a year or 2 after all he went through. he was sleeping for 3 days after what Sir. Crocodile did to him. imagine now after all this.

Although isn't the One Piece movie supposed to have taken place after this, but before the time skip? He said it'd be the last time we saw him as a 17 year old or something like that?

the movie is not cannon. it might be written by Oda but that doesnt make it cannon. if it doesnt happen in the manga then the event never happen in most cases unless the manga start referring to the movie or Oda say its cannon.

it took Luffy and crew 6months to get to Shabondy, i image it would take months before they would be gathered again.

This movie is an exception. It was written by Oda to be canon. They even make a small reference to it in one of the chapters during the Impel Down arc. When... the poison guy said that only one person had escaped Impel Down before, but he had the ability to fly. That was Golden Lion Shiki. The antagonist in the most recent One Piece movie.

Edit: Nvm. It's set before this whole war since Whitebeard is alive in the film.

Edit2: Apparently, I may be wrong about who referenced Shiki in the manga. It might have been Sengoku and not Magellan.

Edit3: Yep. Found it. Chapter 530 page 5.
Also, apparently in a question and answer, someone asked about the reference and if the one referenced in the manga and the Shiki in the movie are the same. He confirmed it and further stated that he had wanted to have Shiki be mentioned during the meeting between Shanks and Whitebeard.

i already know all of this but the thing is because i own all One Piece volumes and i read the SBS, i also read most of his interviews but as you yourself said there isnt any place for it to fit in the story. Shiki is of Whitebeard/Gol D Roger level strength since he was in the big 3 pirates of his era. I do know that he lost cause of his fear for weather.

but it doesnt fit in the manga as of of yet. do you see anyone mentioning Luffy defeating the Golden Lion Shiki? that movie never happened manga wise unless it is mentioned in the manga itself. i do know that the chapter 0 make reference to it but it might be for another appearance for Shiki.

Luffy bounty would be over 500mil already if he had defeated Shiki. Since in the end of the movie the marines seem to know that Shiki lost.

I started watching this series since funimation did the series justice by redubbing all the episodes starting back at 1.

I was wondering though when should I watch the movies exactly? I'm already at episode 20, and there's 14(?) movies now? When should I watch them as I'm watching the series? (Or are they even connected to the story at all?)

yea, you can pretty much watch the movies anytime but i would wait until franky join the strawhats since i think some of the movies got him in them. i myself havent watched any of the movies but i plan on watching the strong world one. i havent watched the anime either since im more of a manga person

so it is better to watch the series first.

I always assumed that he wasn't a fruit user. Just a really skilled and powerful Haki user. And Zoro isn't a fruit user either and he's demonstrated the ability to move faster than a bullet. So I never thought too much about his speed considering he was the first mate of Roger when Shanks was still just a kid.
