However I don't understand how he made the Purist Faction, an organization bent on dismissing the Honorary Britannian aspect of government, out his failure at the Imperial Palace.
Further more, Lulu destroyed Jeremiah's position and standing with the rest of the Britannian world, thus being labeled as Orange, and destroyed the bulk of the Purist Faction. All of which he geared upon Zero as Zero's fault in R1. I'm just saying that there was a lot of reason to hate Lelouch.

Yes, you're right xD Zero/Lelouch destroyed everything he had so obviously the blame is on Zero, and then Jeremiah asked Lelouch:

"Lelouch, why do you act as Zero... and turn against your motherland, Britannia... and your very own father?!"

So at that time (in R1) Jeremiah didn't know the reason and now that he knows... he let go all of his revengeful feelings and found peace in fighting alongside with Lelouch (I didn't smoke when I wrote this last sentence lol). But we should know that it's an anime, and we can't expect them to be always without flows.

on a sidenote, maybe it's a trap? maybe Jeremiah is acting like that to get to C.C...?

Suzaku is a character that was in that same spotlight.
Except he did the exact opposite. He beat down, captured, then gave Lelouch to the Emperor to be Geass'd for ruining his life even though Lelouch. Denying Lelouch his first opportunity of freeing Japan just because he views himself as self-righteous and Zero's way as wrong. It's only Episode 8 that he realizes that he needs those answers from Lelouch and yet still continues to hate him.

Anyways, I just have a feeling of not trusting Orange-kun completely yet.

I was surprised at how the things developed when orange said he will pledge his loyalty to Lulu. Personally, I don't have a good feeling when they show his cyborg eyes reactivating.
