No one took seriously on the earliest "magical girl" shows as "dark" because these manga/shows were aimed at either children, shoujo lovers... Or the mix.
Madoka was aimed to viewers over 13+ and not the little kids or those who want a mix of romance.
I could have complain about the "proportions" thing... But at the same time AIC/Aniplex Studios probably picked out artists who can do cute characters (even to young adult characters) so that way it will be a used to fool the audience... And well... "Madoka" all over again with it's method of selling cute things only to shock value the audience.
Though same time.. I really love how this is going. It's a mix of creepy horror and murder themes with magic, supernatural, and taking tarots to a magical-supernatural level.
Anyway it was this crazy that I finally decide to update my Tumblr layout, herp. (I seriously need to go and update my ggFTW profile layout too.)
