I got that before too, what I did was:
Right click the game icon and go into Properties, before the patch I set the Compatibility Mode to Windows XP (SP2), now I just uncheck the box (so it grey out), then click ok, restart the game, then I'm in.
I hope that works for you too so you can play it now =]
