Here's one for letting you get onto busy networks more effecticely.
Goto Run>Regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Dnscache\Parameters
Set NetFailureCacheTime to 0.
Default is 30 and denotes the time it will wait before asking the DNS server again if the DNS server does not respond. So while other people are waiting their 30 seconds during the rush of, say, everyone registering for classes, your computer will still be trying the computer, and would most likely get a connection before other computers without this set.
