They don't match at all though, and since you're just starting out, raising both of them is gonna be costly and quite a waste, you would and should focus on getting one solid light or dark team going first.
Also tbh, until Loki is evolved to second stage, at early stages Vampire Lord is much more useful imo.
As for Thor, it is good, but do think about getting other members and their cost to raise. You would definitely need Light Magic Swordsman and possibly Valkyrie, or farm some light dragons from special dungeons.
