The only way I've figured how to do timed criticals with regular shots is if I have trickster sound on and I count in between each shot until I get the rhythm going. But even doing this takes a while to get criticals going so I'm wondering if there's an easier way..I don't want to have trickster music on every time I play my hunter lord :l..
Is there anyone that can explain this clearly? I plan on PvPing with her but I need to understand exactly how these work. Any input is greatly appreciated, will give +reps

The double crit shot is irrelevant since it was patched eons ago, but the timed crit method explained in this video is still accurate. It's useless to use timed criticals on a Hunter Lord since they don't have access to Gun Overdrive and Keen Sense which only with both (as I last recall, mind you, I haven't played in eons) will make your timed criticals stronger than a Powershot.

1. Get to know your gun. Experiment, make observations on how long do you have to wait to shoot again to get a critical hit.
2. Turn these lucky shots into something you can control. As a side not, timed criticals works just like clock ticks, i.e. imagine that the time you must wait to shoot to get a timed critical is a tick. Sooo, you can shoot after 1,2,3,4,5 etc ticks and still get the critical shot, but it takes a lot more practice as numbers will be long gone, so you must count time in your mind.
Other than that, later on you can shoot critical shots this way (but it also depends on your gun): shoot, cast a buff, shoot again. BAM! Critical hit

Yes and no. Yes it does depend somewhat on your gun-- performing a timed crit on a ~1s reload gun (ie., MyShop/Gacha, Powerful, Altiverse, Boss guns) is easier than performing it on a >~1s reload gun (eg., an Old Classic Gun)-- but your gun does not determine when you fire again from my experience. You can use the approximate time your damage will fade away from the screen as a definite starting point, from which you can proceed to making a rhythm independent of the damage you just dealt.
