We've been having storms in our area the last week or so and our Comcast internet has been acting up (constant disconnections, slow speeds etc). We had a level 2 tech come out today to look at it and he said about the only thing he knew could be wrong is the nodes in our area are still being fixed from a power outage.
He gave me some tips that I could do to my computer as well to possibly help, like disabling active scanners (virus, malware, spyware, etc), my firewall (since the router has one) and also said I might want to try looking for a internet throttling program that could help with the disconnecting. (He also plays League of Legends lol~ )
We're using one of their "dori" (?) modems that has the internet and wifi in one. So I'm wondering if anyone knows some free program I could possibly use and test it out?
