Flying with Firebending was pretty old. It was shown in Aang's series when he fought the Fire Lord Ozai. Azula and Zuko did it at a certain point too, I think...

This series felt rushed for me too. Find enemy, fight enemy, he lost, we won. Yay!
I don't see much that can happen in the second series unless some new opponent comes out of nowhere magically.

On the bright side, yay Beifong getting her bending back. My guess was correct about being able to bring back bending! Only issue now is that Korra has nothing to do. Would have seemed more interesting if she had to go through stages to unlock the paths in some way. :x

No idea what they could do for season 2. Giving Korra back all her bending basically shit on all my ideas of season 2 that I was having while watching. Though, I guess the rebellion still isn't over, it just no longer has a figurehead? Or maybe they'll fight Asami's dad for the next season.

They captured Asami's dad unless he broke free without bending abilities. The Lieutenant may have saved him and they could work together to be the new villains that want to rid the world of bending.
