I built my system long ago to tolerate the game, and it came down to

2.6Ghz Processor
4GB RAM
Nvidia 9800 GT 512mb

Minimum specs from what I recall were:
2.3Ghz
2GB RAM

Though now a days it's so cheap to meet a games requirements and then some.
