Kyzuumi's Thief Master Guide!
Welcome to Kyzuumi's Guide for Thief Masters! Thief Masters are the pure path a fox can take when confronted with the ability to advance to 3rd job. Foxes use their sneaky-assassin skills to kill their foes and throwing objects to put some nice whelts in the heads of monsters. Interested? Intrigued? Want to be a sexy thief master, lurking in the shadows ready to strike? Then read on! This guide was written during and is updated through to
Season 2/DNA Update Trickster, and is more geared towards the
PvE and Bossing Fox.
Build Graphs & Stats
Stat Breakdown
- Power - The power stats include AP, which increases your physical attack strength and the power of Sudden Attack; AC, which boosts the chance of you landing a hit with melee; and DX, which determines how fast you can melee based on how low it is.
- Magic - Ignore these stats all together. The only important one is MD, which is your magical defense
- Sense - The first stat is WT, which effects how many potions and throwing items you can carry. DA is next, which effects how strong pretty much everything is, and LK, which effects your accuracy and the power of a few skills.
- Charm - HP, your health. Obviously, the more the better; DP, your defense, which lowers physical attacks; and HV, which is your hit evasion.
Build Graphs
- 2143 - This build is more for PvP for sudden attack, but it's kind of not even worth it in my opinion, if you really want the extra point in strength for Sudden and you plan on mostly pvp-ing then take this build, just remember your health will suffer. Pure DA or Pure LK for this build (I'm inclined to lean toward LK if it's PvP you're looking at), but this isn't a PvP guide and definitely isn't written by a PvP-er, bear in mind.
- 1144 - Pretty much the build I reccommend above all. It's my foxes current build and if you don't need or want the AP for Sudden this is the only build I'd reccommend. High survivability is what every fox wants. Pure DA is the most reccommended but nothing's wrong with Pure LK if that's the route you want.
The Skill Build
Skill Name - [Comments or Level to Learn to]
Keep in mind no build is set in stone, but they serve as a general path to take. You are of course free to deviate from it as you see fit.
Fan of Knives Build
Shuriken Master [M]
Stone Strike [M]
Sixth Sense [Level as you can, I wouldn't use it until 2nd job as it's a big mana dump]
Invincible Drilling [Passive]
Precise Pitch [5]
Armor Destructor [1]
Lucky Seven [M]
Chain of Knives [M]
Precise Pitch [M]
Fan of Knives [M]
Aura of Luck [10]
Hide [At least 5]
Poison Assault [M]
Landmine [M]
Explosives Expert [M]
At this point, Master everything that's left. You can't afford to get Fan right away if you go for Landmine (I actually went with Landmine first and found myself prefering to be able to Fiesta more efficiently and to do TM quests faster, so I used a Master's Authority). You don't max Aura of Luck right away in either build because it's a marginal LK increase.
Landmine Build
Shuriken Master [M]
Stone Strike [M]
Sixth Sense [Level as you can, I wouldn't use it until 2nd job as it's a big mana dump]
Invincible Drilling [Passive]
Precise Pitch [5]
Armor Destructor [1]
Lucky Seven [M]
Chain of Knives [M]
Landmine [M]
Aura of Luck [10]
Hide [At least 5]
Poison Assault [M]
Precise Pitch [M]
Fan of Knives [M]
Explosives Expert [M]
Aura of Luck [M]
For this build, it's up to you on whether you want Hide/Poison or Fan of Knives. If you want to boss easily get Poison, if you're looking more to do Fiesta or level, go with Fan of Knives.
