7. Give stage monsters high hp, so high that comboing (with combo bonus) is the only sane way to finish the stage in most cases.
oh and lower the size of mobs, with monsters that are a lot quicker and do a lot more damage. high hp + many monsters could turn out like coc: push and spam
and maybe group 2-3 non comboable monsters per mob so half the team can attack the big ones while the other half do air combos
idk why they cant just model their stages after the first 3 episodes
