Another thing you can do is keep running the launcher until it stops patching. Doing that would entail running the launcher, waiting for it to complete patching. Then instead of running the game, exit from the game. Run the launcher again. If it patches, exit, then rerun the launcher again.

Once it stops patching, try launching the game.

Another thing you can do is make sure you have picked up a recent installer. Run it, then run the launcher.

Also, a couple of other things you might do:
  • If this is a new install, especially under Windows 7, both 32- and 64-bit versions, be sure to install DirectX since the game WILL need it.
  • Be sure you're up to date on your Windows patches and video drivers, and if it's been previously installed, DirectX itself.

If any of your components are out of date, this can cause Trickster to not run properly or even at all.

I'm running on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit on my desktop and on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on one of my two laptops without any problems.
