Grandison entered the lobby of the Traveler's Guest House and was pleasantly surprised. It still wasn't up to par with what he was used to but it was an improvement over sleeping out in the elements that's for sure.
"Welcome to the Traveler's Guest House. May I help you?" the person at the counter greeted.
"I need a room," Grandison replied curtly.
"Of... of course!" the girl said, a bit taken aback by his manner. "After all why else would one come to a guest house." she stammered.
"Indeed," Grandison nodded.
"Well we will have a room for you shortly. Please wait a moment and someone will show you in. Feel free to enjoy the fireside to warm up from your journey!" the girl said recovering her chipper attitude.
Grandison nodded and strode across the room to where the fire was roaring. It was really comfortable in the lobby and Grandison knew if he sat down he probably wouldn't be getting up. He opted on standing. There were two demons conversing but Grandison ignored them as he stood near the fire. He was doing a great job of ignoring them when his ears automatically tuned in when he heard his brother's name.
Grandison wasn't sure if he should be swelling with proud or scowling in annoyance. Ever since entering the city all he's heard was news about his brother's apparent greatness. For a long time Makoto was Grandison's idol. In fact he still is and is the very reason Grandison wants to be in the war too. But hearing his brother's name and the praise aimed towards it constantly even outside of his home only served to remind him of just how little he himself had accomplished for his family and the war.
Grandison was even considering turning away and going to stand somewhere else but something else registered in his mind from the stranger's conversation.
Quickly, he turned towards the two and began to speak,
"Did one of you mention being the teacher of the great General Yuuki himself?"
