Somehow, most of my favorite novels did not influence me much.. such as Don Quixote, Dumas's Count of Monte, Musketeers trilogy, The Red and the Black, Goethe's novels, or any of Tolstoy's etc.
1. Les Miserables - Particularly the first section about Bishop Myriel and Fantine. Myriel represents all of goodness and Fantine became my ideal type of woman.
2 + 3. Song of Saya + Nortre dame de Paris - These 2 novels clarified to me what the roll of appearance is in love and true love. You must accept one's appearance before being able to love him/her. Appearance, in a sense, is only a hindrance to finding love.
Those are the top 3.. Their lessons I try to remember always.
