This is pretty much my favourite book of all time-- an epic tale of revenge and justice. I read the children's version when I was really young, but I only recently got a copy of the Penguin classic unabridged translation and boy did I not regret it. It's just amazing how the author introduces us to multiple complicated and obscure plotlines and characters; but the puzzle eventually gets pieced together as you move along and everything falls into place leaving you in complete awe.
