Found a solution for my situation, though it's.. barely relevant to the thread I guess. Dual booting, I don't know why I hadn't thought of it before. Trickster functions perfectly, and I also got around the issue of XP requiring a new product key, thinking the virtual system was a different computer..
I hadn't tried to do this earlier because, well for one I didn't know about it, and also that I don't remember seeing it mentioned in any "this is a possible solution for Windows 7 users" threads.
