Hmm, I tried it. I'm surprised she didn't point it out or anything though o.o
Now I kinda see why "Dani" gets more votes than "Yoba". Dani sounds more like a normal diminutive nickname, while "Yoba" sounds just weird. I don't mean to insult Yoba or anything, but there is a slight nuance to each of the sounds/letters that we use, and that is probably what makes "Dani" sound more pleasant.
The sounds used in "Yoba" are more foreign to our ears (even to my Japanese-d ears o.o), so that slight nuance makes it a little more offsetting.
